35 year old Federer has 19 Grand Slam titles now and record eighth Wimbledon title. It is a magical moment of his whole career. He crushed Marin Cilic from 6-3, 6-1, 6-4 in Sunday’s final to move past Pete Sampras and William Renshaw into sole possession of first place on the list of male Wimbledon champions. He was aided by the foot injury that left Cilic hobbled from midway through the first set and reduced the Croat to tears in the second set. After won the Australian Open in January, he took the clay-court season off to rest his body along Wimbledon and his decision has paid rich dividends.
