India’s national record holder Dutee Chand has made history in the ongoing World University Games in Italy. He has become the first woman to win gold medal in women’s track and field events here.Dutee won the race taking the time of 11.32 seconds in the 100 meter race. Switzerland’s Dale Pont (11.33 seconds) second and Germany’s Qayyi (11.39 seconds) finished third.Dutee Chand, the national record holder of 11.24 seconds, became the first woman to win gold in a 100-meter race of a global event.
